Panasonic SR-TEG18 10-Cup Rice Cooker – Definitely Not What I Expected

Cooking for the whole family is one of the most important things for me. We don’t often get fast food because my family’s nutrition is my priority, plus they’re more expensive than home-cooked meals and my children do not like them anyway.

However, being a university instructor, I have to be in the university all day. The good thing about it, though, is that I get to go home at around 5 o’clock in the afternoon so I practically still have some time to prepare dinner right before my husband arrives home from work.

And since I still need to help my daughter with her homework and attend to my other daughters’ needs right before dinner, I do not have a lot of time to cook. This is why I got the Panasonic SR-TEG18 10 cup rice cooker.

Rice is a staple in our home especially because we’re Asians. However, cooking rice is something that also requires attention and if you do not know how to properly cook it, you’ll end up with burnt uncooked rice especially if you are cooking it on a stove.

My rice cooker is indeed one of my best friends in the kitchen and something I definitely could not live without. It saves me a lot of time and I do not even have to worry about a single thing because once you activate it, it cooks the rice and automatically switches to “keep warm” when the rice is almost done. I get perfectly cooked rice every time.

Why I Chose the Panasonic SR-TEG18 10-Cup Rice Cooker

Before I got my Panasonic SR-TEG18 10 cup rice cooker, I came across a lot of different types of rice cookers. There were high-end multi-cookers that were so appealing but I really did not need those features, which is why I chose this.

I only needed something that’s going to cook my rice perfectly and I’d say it surely did not disappoint me. The steaming basket included was indeed a bonus for me because I was able to steam my vegetables while the rice is being cooked.

One of my favorite features was that this 10-cup rice cooker has a dome lid with a removable moisture cap. This is absolutely a plus factor for me because there’s less mess around the cooker.

Since the lid closes well and there’s a cap that catches the moisture, the boiling water does not spill out of the cooker.

I used to have a rice cooker with a separate glass lid that every time the water was boiling, there was sticky rice water everywhere so I always had to clean the countertops right after cooking.

I Really Love My Panasonic 10-Cup Rice Cooker

Another reason why I love this rice cooker is that it has a large capacity and it keeps the rice warm for up to 12 hours.

I love hosting dinner parties at home especially when my folks or my husband’s family are here to visit.

I do not need to cook rice in batches because I have a big enough cooker that cooks enough rice for everyone, and I do not have to worry about it getting cold until the next serving or when some of my visitors come late.

How Much the Panasonic SR-TEG18 Cost Me

For $176.59, every dollar I spent on it is worth it.

Not only do I have perfectly cooked rice for my family but we also have enough rice during my dinner parties which is also kept warm the whole time.

It certainly is one of the best deals I’ve ever had because it gives me more time to spend with my family.
